Valley Health Offers the Care You Deserve

Rural communities face unique challenges in supporting the mental health and overall well-being of young people. By raising awareness about factors that affect youth mental health, we can lay the foundation for healthier, happier adults and stronger communities. Community cohesion, acceptance, and understanding reduce stigma and promote help-seeking behaviors. Youth mental health is a shared responsibility that requires compassion, understanding, and action. Together, we can build resilient communities where every young person thrives.

  • “IOP meant safety, understanding, comfort and the ability to not feel alone. To be surrounded by others struggling. To be judgment free. To learn how to love yourself. IOP means love, safety, and to be yourself.”

  • “At first I was strongly against the program, but settling in wasn’t hard and the community was welcoming. Being social and stepping out of my comfort zone really pushed me to work on myself and try new things that make me uncomfortable. This program has not only helped stabilize me but also help me step out of my shell.”

  • “It meant new opportunities. Specifically, opportunities to get better. Opportunities to relate with others.”

  • “IOP meant letting go of the past and starting a new beginning. Making something positive and being able to accept it. Learning positive affirmations. IOP meant family, a support group of people who listen and care.”

  • “IOP helped me regain my strength when I was at my lowest.”

  • “IOP was a safe space for me to heal. The staff genuinely cared and I was excited to come most days. It was a major factor in my progress.”

  • "OPSUD is a great program. I’ve been to many therapies and this is the one I found helpful!”

  • "OPSUD has shown me ways to cope without using substances and also ways to take space when I get triggered. They also have taught me that I always have people on my side even if I’m right or wrong and that I could stop using when I thought that I couldn’t. They always talk me through things if I ever needed advice.”

  • "OPSUD helped me grow as a person and made me realize it is ok to get help.”

  • "OPSUD helped me understand how to handle my emotions, cope with things in a healthier way, and drop bad habits.”

  • "OPSUD helped with being able to open up more and being able to have hard conversations.”

  • "OPSUD was a great experience being able to talk to someone who was not mom/dad, etc and not feeling judged or overlooked.”

  • "OPSUD helped with recognizing my emotions and being able to regulate them better.”
